Fantastic finish to 5th LSL football tournament this year on Saturday 29th September at Newham Powerleague on a sunny day, perfect for football.
12 teams and players from various parts of the country participated in this largest Malayalee Football Completion in the UK. Exciting and tough group stage games finished with East Ham A, Saints Kerala Southampton and Panthers SC qualified for the knock-out semi-final stage as group champions while Bexley FC qualified ahead of Herts FC and CP FC on the basis of goal difference after finishing equal on points table.
East Ham A won against Bexley FC comfortably in the semi-final while Panthers beat Saints Kerala Southampton in a close battle. East Ham FC once again displayed their professional touch in the finals convincingly beat Panthers to lift the championship.
Mahesh from East Ham A awarded the Top Scorer of the tournament, Siraj from Panthers awarded the Best Goal Keeper and Izzy from Bayern Nevalusan was selected for the Player of the tournament award.
