Outstanding performers of the week are Jeevan Jyothi (Challengers), Ameer Ali (Challengers, Riju George (BMCC) and Vijay Krishnan scoring half centuries while Manunath (Griffins) claimed 5+ wickets. Midlaj Mukriyan and Nasweeph Kuttiyan took 4 wickets each.
Bedford Malayalee CC won comfortably against Panther on Saturday at Bedford. Once again Riju George scored a fine half century while Midlaj Mukriyan took 4 wickets for panthers. A fighting knock by Siraj Mukriyan ws not enough to take Panthers home as Nasweeph Kuttiyan wrapped up Panthers innings taking 4 wickets.
Challengers registered the highest team total ever in LSL as they scored 390 in 40 overs to beat JLCC on Saturday at Hainault. Opener Ameer Ali and left arm batsman Jeevan Jyothi scored centuries for challengers. Later JLCC bowled out for a low score.
Griffins beat Martians convincingly in a low scoring match on Saturday at Valentines Park. Griffins captain Manunath took 6 wickets to bowl out Martians for a low score. Later Martians fought back claiming 3 early wickets but Griffins reached home without losing any further.
