Bedford Malayalee CC beat Challengers CC by 4 wickets at Mewsbury Park, Bedford on Saturday. Batting first Challengers CC were all out for 140. Thanks to a well-disciplined blowing attack by Sumesh Subramanian and Riju George for BMCC. Opener Praveen Lonappan scored half century for BMCC to chase the target comfortably.
Griffins beat Martians by 38 runs at Bromley Cricket Ground on Sunday. Batting first Griffins scored a decent total of 194 on the board with the help of a cracking half century by opener Shaan Hussain. Martians started well with Sajeev Parameswaran scoring a brilliant half century, but a fantastic display of disciplined bowling attack and fielding led by Anooj S, who took 4 wickets for 16 runs, restricted Martians to bowl out for 156.
London Sports Club piled up the season’s highest score of 253 to register their 3 rd consecutive victory of the season and beat Thunder Boys convincingly by 175 runs at St Chad’s Park on Sunday. LSC managed to bowl out Thunder boys for a modest total. Captain Ashique Koleth scored a brilliant half century and Binas Muhammed took 5 wickets for 31 runs for LSC.
Panthers Sports Club beat London Strikers by 3 runs in a nail-biting contest at Fairlop Oak on Saturday. Batting first Panthers scored a decent total of 166 on the board with the help of a fantastic batting display of 89 by Midlaj Mukriyan. Captain Vijay Krishnan scored a patient half century for London Strikers, but a series of run outs restricted them to 163.
MCC won against London Desperados by 87 runs at St Chad’s Park on Saturday. All round performance by Naseer Ud Din who scored a patient half century and took 2 wickets for 16 for MCC helped the team to register a convincing victory. Desperados bowled out for low score.
