Outstanding performers of the week are Ramees Hassan (Martians), Jibin Miaranda (Griffins) and Kitchu Ramesh (MCC) claiming 5+ wickets each, while Riju George (BMCC), Sukhvinder Singh (Strikers), Amal Babu (Griffins), Jeevan Jyothi (Challengers), Ameer Ali (Challengers), Ashique Koleth (JLCC) Siraj Mukriyan (Panthers) and Midlaj Mukriyan (Panthers) scored half centuries.
Martians beat BMCC on Saturday at Bedford with an all-round team performance. Outstanding bowling display by Ramees Hassan and Binu Vallooran with the help of excellent fielding and catching by the whole team earned an unbelievable victory for Martians. Ramees took 6 wickets to bowl out BMCC from 102-1 to 122 all out. Earlier at one stage BMCC were comfortable chasing the small target of 137 set by Martians with the help of a blistering knock of 82 by Riju George.
Griffins beat London Strikers in a low scoring game at Lewisham on Saturday by 6 wickets. Jibin Miranda took 5 wickets while Joseph Cleetus took 3 wickets to reduce London Strikers to 134. None of the Strikers batsmen apart from Sukhvinder Singh, who scored a half century, did not last long for Strikers. Later Amal Babu scored a patient half century to take Griffins home comfortably.
Yet another Victory for Challengers on Saturday at Hainault as Jeevan Jyothi and Ameer Ali scored brilliant half centuries for Challengers to score a decent total on the board. Kitchu Ramesh took 5 wickets for MCC. Later Robin Mathew took 4 wickets for challengers to bowl out MCC for 157.
Panthers won against Jamaica London CC who batted first scored a reasonable total on Sunday at Mill Hill. Captain Ashique Koleth scored a brilliant half century for JLCC and Navas Mohammed took 4 wickets for Panthers. Later panthers finished the game in 18 overs with the help of some huge hitting once again by Mukriyan Brothers Siraj & Midlaj both scoring half centuries.
