The much awaited football event for Malayalee football lovers in the UK kicked-off yesterday at the Newham Powerleague in London.
Participating clubs are Martians London, Griffins Croydon, Croydon Blasters, GFC London, LFC Stratford and Herts FC Hertfordshire.
The league games started yesterday will continue till mid-April and the matches are scheduled to be played at Newham and Croydon this year.
Outstanding football from LFC Stratford lead them to the top of the table with an unbeaten four wins while Martians finished second with two wins out of their 3 games.
LFC striker Shameer A K scored six goals to become the top scorer on the opening day.
